Laure Cooper trained as dancer from a young age. Aged 16, she was accepted by the renowned boarding school Rosella Hightower in Cannes. She studied ballet, modern dance and music. She then joined the Conservatory of Avignon where she specialised in contemporary dance. At 20 years old, she went to the Choreographic Dance Centre of Montpellier to complete her training. She had the privilege to work with the best international dancers and choreographers for a year. She worked as a professional dancer for the next 7 years, travelling and performing throughout France.

During her dancing career, Laure Cooper studied Alexander Technique and Feldenkrais to enhance my knowledge of the bodies’ movement patterns and help improve her performances. Laure Cooper decided that she wanted to become an Alexander Technique teacher.

In 2004, Laure Cooper moved to London to start my studies of the Alexander Technique.  She was accepted in to the Alexander Alliance School (Alexander Technique International) in Germany. She have been working with globally renowned teachers Bruce and Martha Fertman (USA), Robyn Avalon (New Mexico), Joanna Schlesinger (USA), Midori Shinkai (Japan), Karin Boskens (Germany).

Laure Cooper graduated as an Alexander Technique International (ATI) teacher in August 2008.

For the past four years Laure Cooper has been working with musicians, comedians and lecturers to graphic designers, and administrators. All students have felt the positive benefits of the Alexander Technique.  Laure Cooper's aim is to share her knowledge of the Alexander Technique with as many people as possible.
